Bishops Castle

Yarborough House is situated at the top of the High Street in the picturesque town of Bishops Castle, which has a range of independent shops, public houses and two breweries. There are many events in and around the town throughout the year, such as the Michaelmas Fair which brings the town to life and shows what a special place it can be. Bishops Castle is set in the middle of the Shropshire Hills, close to the Welsh border, and there are many walking opportunites with stunning views. For further details see the Bishops Castle website: Bangra dancers at the Michaelmas Fair 2008

View of Bishops Castle

"Bishops Castle, with its cheery coloured houses and lively neighbouring chocolate box town of Clun rank among the most enchanting places in South Shropshire. Each has a huge dollop of personality, an ancient history and a pride in keeping local traditions alive. A mix of charm and fascination, they are a magnet for artists and craftspeople, writers and musicians, free-thinkers, eco-campaigners, real-ale drinkers."
